Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the WebExtract API and website (the "Service"), operated by TAINCHENG, L.L.C. ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them.

1. The Service

Given a public URL, the Service fetches the page and returns cleaned Markdown and structured JSON (metadata, product/price, tables). Output is produced automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate; verify anything important.

2. Payment options

Free tier: a limited number of calls per day per IP address without a key. Limits may change.
Prepaid credits (card, via Stripe): a successful /v1/extract call uses 1 credit and a /v1/markdown call uses 0.4 credit; if structured fields come back empty, you're only charged the Markdown rate. No charge on failed fetches. Credits never expire. Credits do not expire while the Service operates. Your API key is shown once after purchase; keep it secret — anyone with it can use your credits.
Per-call payment (x402, USDC on Base): each paid call is a separate on-chain payment of the listed price. Payment is only settled when the call succeeds. Blockchain transactions are final.

Failed calls (invalid URL, blocked by robots.txt, target site refused or errored) do not use credits and are not settled. Refunds are covered in the Refund Policy.

3. How we crawl

We identify ourselves as WebExtractBot, obey robots.txt, do not bypass CAPTCHAs, logins, paywalls or anti-bot protection, and refuse private/internal network addresses.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

collect personal data (names, emails, phone numbers, profiles, etc.) about individuals, or build profiles of people;
access content you have no right to access, or violate a website's terms or applicable law (including copyright and data-protection law);
overload, attack or probe websites or the Service, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, the free tier or payment;
resell raw access to the Service as a competing API without our written permission.

You are responsible for how you use the output and for having the rights to use it.

5. Suspension

We may block IPs, revoke API keys or refuse service for abuse or violation of these terms, without refund of credits used in the violation. We will refund unused prepaid credits if we terminate you without cause.

6. Availability and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We don't guarantee uptime or that any site can be fetched. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms or prices; changes apply from the posted date. Purchased credits keep their value.
